MRS. AKANJI AYOOLA AFUSAT – ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, PUBLIC AFFAIRS – (HND, B.SC. (MASS COMMUNICATION), PGD (MANAGEMENT SCIENCE), MPA (PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION)

Mrs. Akanji Ayoola Afusat is a seasoned public relations professional with over 25 years of experience in public service communication.

She obtained her Secondary School Certificate from Metropolitan College, Isolo, Lagos State. She holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos. She further holds a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Management Science and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Mrs. Akanji began her career in the Lagos State Civil Service on March 1, 2000, as an Executive Information Officer. Through dedication and professional excellence, she rose through the ranks and was promoted to the position of Assistant Director, Public Affairs in 2022.

She is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and a member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

Her hobbies include listening to worship music, advocating for the welfare of others, and motivating people. She is happily married and blessed with children
